Thirteen years years later, we began our own breeding program. Today, we are very occasional breeders with a decided tilt toward quality and advancement, not just quantity. We take a long view of the breed with a serious commitment to understanding health and behavioral issues. We believe early socialization and environment can affect lifetime learning, and are committed to providing an enriched environment for our puppies based on up to date scientific understanding of how puppies learn. Our Kuvasz family has now grown over many generations, as we ourselves have grown in our knowledge of the breed.

Along with wonderful success in conformation where we have owned and/or bred some of the top winning Kuvasz in the USA, we are the breeders and owners of the 2007 Kuvasz Club of America National Specialty winner. We have titled dogs not only in conformation and petCargo and Cannon therapy but also lure coursing, barn hunt and obedience.

As members in good standing of the only AKC recognized parent club of the breed, the KUVASZ CLUB OF AMERICA (KCA), Tony and I have participated in many club activities. Robin has served three consecutive terms as an executive board member of the KCA as well as serving on the KCA Judges’ education, communications, public education, obedience, rescue, health, specialty and awards committees. Tony, through his years of diligent work and instinctive understanding, has become the number one owner handler in our breed and personally handled many of our dogs to not only their championships and grand championship titles, but also multiple group placements and wins, as well as multiple Best In Shows in the AKC’s Owner-handler series.

Successful owner handlers are rare in the competitive conformation world, where most top winning dogs are handled by professional handlers. In 2013, at the Kuvasz National Specialty held in Purina Farms Missouri, Tony was honored with the AKC Good Sportsmanship award. It was a testimony to his belief that respect and goodwill must govern the sport of dogs.

We are also members in good standing of the North Georgia Working Group Association.

For many years we were quite active as Kuvasz Rescue volunteers. Robin was the Southeast regional coordinator for Kuvasz Rescue for seven years. During that time we place or assisted in the placement of over sixty Kuvasz. We also provided foster care for several homeless Kuvasz until suitable adoptive homes could be found for them. Our work in rescue reinforced our belief that owning a Kuvasz is a serious lifetime commitment, and works best when care is taken on the part of breeders to educate prospective owners about the special characteristics of this breed, to ensure “goodness of fit” between the breed and each prospective owner.

Our dogs are part of our family, and not a business. We value all of our past and future puppy buyers, and consider any dog bred by us a lifetime member of the family. Our lives have been enriched by the love and companionship of our dogs. And many of our puppy buyers have becaome great friends.

There are many good breeders in our community, each with a perspective and experience that influences their choices. We like to think that we offer some very special dogs, a small loving environment, ongoing follow up, assistance and support to our owners. We encourage our owners to do activites with their dogs- whether conformation, therapy work, agility, obedience, rally or the newer sports of lure coursing and barn hunt.

If we sound like we are a good fit for you, please take a moment to meet our wonderful Kuvasz. There’s usually more of a demand for our beautiful puppies than we can ever fill. Advance reservations are suggested.

We welcome your inquiries and will be happy to discuss your needs.
